We are nearing the end of July and the new autumn/winter lines are hitting our high street stores. It only feels like a short time ago we were preparing for our summer holidays. So I took some time out to have a look at what is going to be hot this autumn/winter. With a huge selection of new trends to pick from, I decided to start out with footwear.
We all love our winter boots and what better pair of boots to go for than The lace up ankle boot. Starting at around £50 the lace up boot can be found in most high street retailers already. Topshop, River Island, Office and New look are all advertising them as a fashion trend this winter. Most popular in the round toe, I explore the different types out there for you.
Topshop offer a range of lace up boots. The majority of the boots come in black or brown and have quite a large heel on them! They can be worn as casual with a pair of jeans or dressed up for a night out with some of those new dresses out this season. You can get them in round toe or pointed. So they cater for a wider range than most stores.
River Island seems to only have a small selection of lace up boots in at the moment but I would think as the season gets closer they will introduce more. The two pairs which they do have are good quality and reasonably priced at £64.99. Available in Light grey or dark grey with a rubber sole or plastic sole. They can be viewed on their website in the women’s just arrived section.
As Office is solely a shoe shop, I would expect them to have the biggest selection of lace up boots and they didn’t disappoint. The Majorie lace up is the closest to what other stores are advertising, available in black or chestnut brown and competitively priced at £95. If you fancy something a little different they also do lace up shoes, if you want to stand out from the crowd. A beautiful pair for winter I would recommend taking a look at; Office Forbes Tweed lace up light blk/grey.
New Look has a great value pair of boots in and they bring back memories. I had a pair of these when I was about 10 and they are definitely back in fashion. They are fantastically priced at £50 and more for a casual daytime wear. They come in Black or Tan/Gingerbread colour. If neither of these is quite right for you, they also stock lace up she boots which sit just perfectly with a nice dress and leggings.
These are just a few of the stores that have got them in already. So keep your eyes peeled for any new arrivals later on in the autumn. Keep blogging and look out for the next instalment of fresh on trend........Finding the right coat for you this winter.
